You have a right to know how a website makes money, so here it is in plain language. The Moroccan Wine Guide is free to read, and I keep it that way through advertising and affiliate links. This page explains exactly what that means and, just as important, what it does not change.
Advertising
I may display advertisements on this site, including through advertising networks such as Google AdSense. These ads are served by third parties and are marked as advertising. I do not control which specific ads appear, and the presence of an ad is not an endorsement by me of the advertised product or service. Affiliate links
Some pages on this site contain affiliate links, most often to wine retailers, booksellers, or tour and travel platforms. If you click one of these links and make a purchase or booking, I may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is exactly the same whether or not you use the link.
What this does not change
This is the part that matters most. Advertising and affiliate income never influence the editorial content. I do not recommend a wine, a producer, or a tour because it pays a commission, and I do not soften my honest assessment to please an advertiser or affiliate partner. My recommendations are based on the facts, the wine’s reputation and quality, and what I believe genuinely serves you, the reader. If a wine is ordinary, I will say so, affiliate link or not. Why I disclose
Beyond it being the right thing to do, honest disclosure is expected by advertising and affiliate programs and by regulators such as the US Federal Trade Commission, which requires clear disclosure of paid relationships. I would rather over-communicate this than leave you wondering.
